Yungblud Reveals Alarming Leg Injury In New Photos And Promises It Won’t Stop His Next Shows

Yungblud Reveals Major Leg Injury but Says He'll Keep Touring - Parade

Yungblud has left fans concerned after revealing a serious-looking leg injury just days before he is expected to return to the stage.

On Sunday, August 16, the 28-year-old British rocker, whose real name is Dominic Harrison, shared several photos showing himself on crutches with his left leg covered by a large cast. In one image, he sits on top of two kegs while wearing shorts and boots, making the extent of the injury particularly noticeable. The cast appears to run from his foot up toward his thigh.

Yungblud did not reveal how the injury happened or provide details about its severity. Instead, he focused on his plans to continue performing. In the caption accompanying the photos, he wrote that his leg was injured but that he was still gigging and still standing, before telling fans in Portugal and Belgium that he was coming their way the following week.

The post quickly prompted concerned reactions from fans. Many encouraged the singer to prioritize his recovery, while others asked what had happened. One fan even compared the situation to Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl, who famously continued performing from a specially designed throne after breaking his leg onstage in 2015.

The choice of music for Yungblud’s post also attracted attention. He used Elton John’s 1983 hit I’m Still Standing, a song that naturally fits the image of an artist refusing to let a physical setback completely stop him.

Yungblud recently injured his leg while dirt biking, but he says he has no intention of canceling his upcoming tour dates: "Leg f*cked. Still giggin. Still standin (sort of)."

Originally released on Elton John’s album Too Low for Zero, I’m Still Standing is an upbeat pop-rock song about resilience after the end of a difficult relationship. Rather than presenting survival as quiet or sentimental, the song turns it into something energetic and confident. Its driving rhythm and bright arrangement contrast with the emotional conflict behind the lyrics, creating a feeling of moving forward with renewed confidence.

Yungblud’s use of the song gives the post an additional layer of meaning. In the original, Elton John sings about emerging stronger after heartbreak. In Yungblud’s post, the same idea is applied more literally to a physical setback. His injured leg becomes the visual centerpiece, while the song reinforces his determination to remain active.

However, the post does not confirm that Yungblud is medically cleared to perform. His statement only indicates that he intends to continue with his upcoming gigs. Whether his injury will affect those performances remains unclear.

The timing is notable because Yungblud has already faced several challenges during a demanding year. In June, recurring tonsillitis forced him to withdraw from Norway’s Tons of Rock festival after a busy touring schedule. He said at the time that his doctor had warned him to be careful with his voice, and he revealed plans to have his tonsils removed in October.

Then, in July, Yungblud spoke openly about experiencing an emotional breakdown after performing at Bludfest Czechia. He acknowledged that the relentless pace of touring and his career had become difficult to process and said he needed to work on himself.

With another physical setback now visible, fans have understandably become concerned about whether the rocker is pushing himself too hard. For now, however, Yungblud appears determined to keep moving forward, even if he needs a pair of crutches to do it.
