Scotty McCreery’s Viral ‘Hello Darlin’ Performance Tops 40 Million Views as Full Studio Version Finally Arrives

Scotty McCreery is celebrating a remarkable milestone after a short performance of his rendition of Conway Twitty’s classic “Hello Darlin’” captivated millions of country music fans around the world.

The viral clip, originally shared on June 23, exploded across social media, becoming one of McCreery’s biggest online successes to date. On Instagram alone, the video has surpassed 41 million views, while it has also drawn more than 39 million views on Facebook and over 1.3 million views on TikTok.

The overwhelming response came just as McCreery prepared to celebrate another major milestone—15 years since winning Season 10 of American Idol in 2011. To mark the anniversary of launching his career, the North Carolina native released a special album titled 15 on July 17.

The album combines nine of McCreery’s biggest hits with four new recordings, including three covers of beloved country classics. Among them is the long-awaited studio version of “Hello Darlin’,” a song that has become a fan favorite during his live performances for years.

After watching the teaser continue to rack up millions of views, McCreery shared his amazement on July 22, posting, “40 million views later 🤯,” before announcing that fans could finally stream the complete recording of the song.

But “Hello Darlin’” isn’t the only nostalgic highlight on the anniversary album.

McCreery also revisited Josh Turner’s hit “Your Man,” the same song that introduced him to America during his unforgettable American Idol audition in 2011. This time, however, he brought the moment full circle by recording it as a duet with Turner himself.

Reflecting on the collaboration, McCreery said getting to know Turner was something he never imagined as a young aspiring singer.

“Getting to know him has been something little Scotty would never have imagined, and having the honor of recording ‘Your Man’ with him is a moment I’ll never get over,” he said in a press release.

Turner returned the praise with a playful message of his own.

“He came on the scene singing that song and has had a great career ever since,” Turner said before joking, “Of course, I take credit for all of his success! Congrats to Scotty on 15 years! It’s no small feat.”

With 15 celebrating the journey that began on American Idol, and his heartfelt version of “Hello Darlin’” continuing to resonate with millions of listeners, Scotty McCreery’s anniversary year is proving to be one of the biggest celebrations of his career yet.
