Kristen Bell Stuns Fans With Surprise Stadium Performance That Ends In An Iconic Movie Moment

Kristen Bell Makes Appearance at Savannah Bananas Game for Frozen Duet

Kristen Bell gave baseball fans an unexpected musical treat when she made a surprise appearance at a Savannah Bananas game in Denver on Saturday, August 15.

The actress, best known for voicing Anna in Disney’s Frozen franchise, stepped onto the field during the team’s game against the Indianapolis Clowns. Wearing a custom Savannah Bananas jersey with leopard-print cargo pants, Bell emerged from the stands before joining the entertainment on the field.

She soon began singing For the First Time in Forever, one of the best-known songs from the original Frozen. The 2013 animated film introduced Anna as an optimistic princess who leaves Arendelle to search for her sister Elsa after Elsa’s powers accidentally plunge the kingdom into an endless winter.

In the original movie, For the First Time in Forever captures Anna’s excitement after years of isolation. The song is deliberately bright and energetic, reflecting Anna’s belief that her life is finally about to change. At the same time, Elsa sings a contrasting section that reveals her anxiety about losing control of her powers. The musical structure allows the two sisters to express completely different emotions while preparing for the same coronation day.

Bell’s performance at the baseball game took the song out of its original animated setting and turned it into a playful live moment. Rather than reproducing the full cinematic sequence, she used the familiar song as the opening of a fast-moving medley designed for the stadium crowd.

Broadway star Derek Klena then joined Bell for Dancing Through Life from Wicked. Klena, who became part of the Savannah Bananas entertainment lineup in December, brought his Broadway background to the performance. The pair danced together before transitioning into another famous movie song, (I’ve Had) the Time of My Life from Dirty Dancing.

The final number allowed Bell and Klena to recreate one of the most recognizable moments from the 1987 film. They performed the famous lift associated with the song, giving the baseball crowd an especially theatrical ending.

The performance came only one day after Bell reunited with Frozen costars Idina Menzel and Josh Gad at D23 in Anaheim, California. The actors offered an early look at Frozen 3, which is scheduled for release on November 24, 2027.

The presentation revealed several developments for the next installment. Anna and Kristoff are expected to get married, while Olaf will reportedly experience a romantic storyline of his own. Bell, Menzel and Gad also performed material connected to the upcoming film during the D23 event.

Frozen 3 will reunite much of the original voice cast. Bell is returning as Anna, Menzel as Elsa and Gad as Olaf, while Jonathan Groff will reprise his role as Kristoff.

Bell’s Savannah Bananas appearance therefore arrived at an interesting moment for the actress. Just as the Frozen franchise is beginning another chapter, she was back in front of an audience performing one of Anna’s signature songs.

Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel speak onstage at the Disney Entertainment Showcase at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event on August 14, 2026 in Anaheim, California.

The combination of baseball, Broadway and Disney nostalgia made the appearance unusual, but the songs themselves provided a familiar connection for fans. Bell’s surprise performance also showed how easily her connection to Anna continues to translate from the animated screen to live entertainment.
