The first live results night of America’s Got Talent Season 21 has narrowed the competition, with seven acts eliminated, three advancing to the semifinals and Hundred Fingers already securing a place in the finale.
Eleven acts performed during the opening night of the 2026 Live Shows, hoping to earn enough votes from viewers to continue their journey. By the end of the results show, only Olivia Befus, Royal Lasers and Luke Taleno had earned spots in the semifinals.
Hundred Fingers did not have to worry about the vote after receiving Howie Mandel’s Golden Buzzer during the previous night’s performances, sending the group directly to the finale.
Who Went Home on America’s Got Talent Season 21?
The seven acts eliminated during the first Live Shows results were:
- Ashford Sanders
- Brook Lynn
- Cris Sosa
- James & Marina
- Jesse White Tumbling Team
- Sando
- The CommUNITY ATL Choir
The results followed performances from all 11 contestants, with America’s vote determining which acts would continue.

Who Advanced to the Semifinals?
Three acts earned enough support to move forward:
- Olivia Befus
- Royal Lasers
- Luke Taleno
Olivia Befus and her dogs were the first act announced as a semifinalist. Royal Lasers followed, while Luke Taleno claimed the final spot.
Hundred Fingers Head Straight to the Finale
Hundred Fingers had already secured its place in the Season 21 finale after receiving Howie Mandel’s Golden Buzzer.
Following the announcement, group leader Yu Hojin reflected on the moment, describing it as feeling like a dream and saying the 10-member group planned to create something even more impossible for the finale.

Simon Cowell also agreed with Mandel’s decision, saying Hundred Fingers had been the best act of the night.
What Happened During the Results Show?
The live results episode opened with South Korean boy band NCT 127 performing a medley of “Kick It” and “Piñata.”
Host Terry Crews then revisited Hundred Fingers’ Golden Buzzer performance before the show turned to other highlights from the previous night.
Sofia Vergara also used the broadcast to call for support for World Central Kitchen and Unicef, organizations providing money and supplies to Colombia following the 7.4 earthquake in her native country.
The episode also featured AGT’s in-house social media influencer Trisha Paytas in a segment exploring the role social media plays in helping contestants connect with audiences.
When the voting results finally began, the remaining acts were revealed in pairs.
Olivia Befus defeated James & Marina to become the first act in the week’s Top 5. Simon Cowell had previously buzzed James & Marina, believing their performance was too slow, and America ultimately did not vote them through.
Luke Taleno then advanced over The CommUNITY ATL Choir.
Royal Lasers claimed the next spot after being paired with Ashford Sanders, while Cris Sosa moved forward instead of Brook Lynn.
The final place in the Top 5 went to the Jesse White Tumbling Team, leaving Sando out of the competition.
From those five acts, only three could continue to the semifinals. Olivia Befus was announced first, followed by Royal Lasers and then Luke Taleno.
With those results, seven contestants saw their America’s Got Talent journey come to an end, while three secured another chance to compete for the Season 21 title.
America’s Got Talent airs Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC and streams the following day on Peacock.
