Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding brought together an impressive gathering of celebrities from the worlds of music, film, sports and television, with actor Tom Hanks and music legend Sir Paul McCartney among those seen leaving the celebration following the ceremony at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Photographs captured Hanks and McCartney departing the venue together after attending the couple’s private wedding on July 3. Their appearance highlighted the broad range of guests invited to celebrate the occasion, which reportedly welcomed around 1,000 attendees.

Reports following the ceremony suggested that McCartney was more than just a guest. According to entertainment industry sources, the former Beatle was said to have joined Taylor Swift and Stevie Nicks for a special musical performance during the reception. While details of the performance have not been officially confirmed by the couple, the report attracted attention because of the longstanding admiration shared between Swift and McCartney.

Their mutual respect has been evident in recent years. Earlier this year, Swift publicly praised McCartney after the release of his album The Boys of Dungeon Lane, describing him as an “eternally exceptional artist” and saying she is continually inspired by his work. McCartney has also spoken positively about Swift, comparing the extraordinary level of her worldwide fame to the global phenomenon experienced by The Beatles during the height of Beatlemania.

Tom Hanks’ attendance also reflected his growing professional connection with Swift. The Academy Award-winning actor recently worked alongside the singer on Toy Story 5, where Swift contributed the original song “I Knew It, I Knew You.” Ahead of the wedding, Hanks was asked whether he had any advice for the couple after nearly four decades of marriage to actress Rita Wilson. Offering a light-hearted response, he joked that “the man must make the waffles on Sunday,” referencing one of the small traditions that can help strengthen a long-lasting relationship.
