The coaches on The Voice are ready to fight for a standout singer, and Kayleigh Mathews quickly becomes the center of attention.
In an exclusive clip from Monday’s episode, 31-year-old Kayleigh Mathews from Tucson, Arizona, delivers a powerful performance of Vince Gill’s When I Call Your Name that earns a four-chair turn from Kelly Clarkson, Riley Green, Queen Latifah, and Adam Levine.

The coaches hit their buzzers one after another before Kayleigh even reached the chorus. Adam turned first, followed by rookie coach Riley, Kelly, and finally Queen Latifah.
Once all four chairs were turned, the battle to win Kayleigh for their teams began.
Adam immediately made his case, telling Kayleigh that he was ready to fight harder than ever for her. He praised her voice and said she had the kind of talent that could become a major part of his team.
Kelly quickly jumped in with her own argument. She reminded Kayleigh that she has four wins as a coach, matching Adam’s record on the show.
Queen Latifah then shared a more emotional reaction to the performance.

“You took me to church,” Queen said, explaining that Kayleigh’s performance became a spiritual moment for her. She also said she could help Kayleigh find songs that would bring out the beauty in her voice.
Kelly had another strong connection to the performance. She reminded Kayleigh that she has recorded a duet with Vince Gill and said she was listening closely to see if Kayleigh could capture the feeling of the country star’s original performance.
“I come back because of voices like yours,” Kelly said. “I like to be moved.”

Riley Green also made a strong case for Kayleigh. The Alabama native praised her decision to take on Vince Gill, calling him one of the greatest vocalists in country music.
Riley said the performance made him feel like he was back home, even though he was far away.
Adam tried to jump back into the conversation, but Riley had another idea.
“Adam, you’ve had a long time to talk. You said a lot of stuff,” Riley joked before telling Adam he was going into a “duck blind” and had to stay completely still and quiet.
A duck blind was then placed in front of Adam, but that still did not stop him.
Adam walked around the blind and continued trying to convince Kayleigh to join his team. He also asked whether she would be interested in exploring other genres, and Kayleigh revealed that she was interested in soul music as well.
That opened the door for even more competition between the four coaches, each hoping to convince Kayleigh that their team was the right choice for her.
Kayleigh’s decision will be revealed when The Voice Blind Auditions continue Monday at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC, with the episode streaming the following day on Peacock.
