The lineup for the first-ever FIFA World Cup Final Halftime Show has become even more impressive, with Justin Bieber officially joining an all-star cast set to perform during football’s biggest night.
FIFA announced on Wednesday that the global pop superstar will take the stage alongside fellow headliners Madonna, Shakira, and BTS during the groundbreaking 11-minute halftime performance, bringing a Super Bowl-style spectacle to the World Cup Final for the very first time.
The show, curated by Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, will take place on July 19 at New York New Jersey Stadium, just outside New York, during the championship match.

Joining the headline acts will be Afrobeats sensation Burna Boy, internationally acclaimed Venezuelan conductor Gustavo Dudamel, and New York’s PS22 Chorus, an elementary school choir from Staten Island that will perform alongside Coldplay.
Beyond the entertainment, the event has a much larger purpose. The halftime show will support the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, which aims to raise $100 million to expand children’s access to education and football opportunities around the world.
“The FIFA World Cup brings the world together in a way nothing else can,” Justin Bieber said following the announcement.
“I’m grateful to be part of this Halftime Show, and even more grateful knowing it’s already helping expand access to education for children around the world.”

Burna Boy Brings the Official World Cup Anthem to the Biggest Stage
Among the featured performers, Burna Boy arrives with a special connection to this year’s tournament after collaborating with Shakira on the official 2026 FIFA World Cup anthem, “Dai Dai.”
The multilingual track combines Afrobeats and Latin rhythms, celebrating football’s global reach while highlighting countries competing on the world’s biggest stage.
The lyrics reference nations including Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, Japan, Korea, and the Netherlands, reflecting the worldwide spirit of the tournament.
“The FIFA World Cup is one of the few moments that truly brings the entire world together,” Burna Boy said.
“To represent Africa on the first-ever FIFA World Cup Final Halftime Show is a privilege and a responsibility that I don’t take lightly.”
A New Tradition for the World Cup
Unlike the NFL’s famous Super Bowl halftime performances, football has traditionally reserved live music for before kickoff, with competitions such as the UEFA Champions League Final featuring pre-match concerts instead of halftime entertainment.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup Final will change that tradition by introducing its first-ever halftime show, creating a new chapter in the tournament’s history.
Adding another unique touch, beloved characters from Sesame Street and The Muppets, including Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy, are also scheduled to appear during the broadcast.
With Justin Bieber, Madonna, Shakira, BTS, Burna Boy, Coldplay, and several other high-profile performers now confirmed, the inaugural FIFA World Cup Final Halftime Show is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious entertainment events ever staged during football’s biggest match.
