Justin Bieber is giving fans a deeply personal look into his emotional and spiritual journey.
The 31-year-old singer shared a series of candid Instagram posts on Friday, admitting that he is far from perfect and revealing he has been turning to God for guidance as he navigates difficult emotions and personal struggles.
In one of his longest messages, Bieber described himself as “just an average flawed guy,” acknowledging that he has made mistakes and continues to unintentionally hurt people.
“I’ve done things that have hurt others,” he wrote. “I continue to do and say things that hurt others unintentionally. Yet I woke up this morning with another opportunity to grow and not be so selfish today.”
The Grammy winner went on to reflect on the power of love, writing that true love “doesn’t condemn,” “believes the best,” “hopes all things,” and helps people forgive—even their enemies.
In another heartfelt post, Bieber admitted he sometimes fears people would reject him if they knew how insecure and selfish he can feel.
“I sometimes think I’m gonna get exposed if I tell people how selfish I am,” he confessed. “Like if I admitted that, maybe people wouldn’t like me or trust me.”

He added that he once believed honesty would cost him the dreams he hoped to achieve.
“I thought if I was honest about the selfish things I was feeling that I was gonna be disqualified from the dreams I had of being included,” he wrote. “But the more honest I am about where I really am, the more freedom I actually have.”
Bieber also spoke openly about the emotional ups and downs he experiences each day, explaining that he cannot control how he wakes up feeling.
“The truth is I wake up every morning. Some days I’m optimistic. Sometimes I wake up pessimistic,” he shared. “I can’t control how I’m gonna feel.”

Rather than blaming God during difficult moments, Bieber said he has been trying to seek strength through prayer.
“I would find myself even subconsciously blaming God for the bad feeling I woke up with rather than communicate with Him and ask Him to help me have a change of perspective.”
The singer revealed he has been praying for the ability to see the good in others despite painful experiences in his own life.
“I’ve been really asking God to help me see the best in people, even after being used in the way I have.”
In another reflective message, Bieber encouraged personal accountability over blaming others.
“Once again it’s easier to point the finger than it is to take ownership,” he wrote. “It’s easy to say they’re greedy rather than to check the greed in our own hearts.”

He concluded by saying that genuine personal change comes through faith rather than sheer willpower.
“Only God can remove the greed and selfishness from our hearts. Trying harder won’t work. Cuz I tried lol.”
The emotional posts arrive as fans continue to express concern about Bieber’s wellbeing following several cryptic social media updates in recent months, which have fueled speculation about his mental health and his marriage to Hailey Bieber.
Despite ongoing rumors, Bieber recently showed public support for his wife by sharing multiple photos of her on Instagram while she attended the Met Gala, affectionately referring to her as “my baby.”
The couple, who married in 2018, welcomed their first child, son Jack Blues Bieber, in August 2025 and have largely kept their family life out of the spotlight.
Although Bieber’s latest messages offered no specific explanation for what prompted them, they painted a picture of an artist focused on faith, honesty and personal growth as he continues navigating life in the public eye.
